Erik Johansson (Sweden/Germany)

Erik Johansson is a full time photographer and retoucher from Sweden based in Berlin, Germany. He works on both personal and commissioned projects and creates sometimes street illusions. Erik creates realistic photos of impossible scenes - capturing ideas, not moments: “To me photography is just a way to collect material to realize the ideas in my mind. I get inspired by things around me in my daily life and all kinds of things I see. Although one photo can consist hundreds of layers I always want it to look like it could have been captured. Every new project is a new challenge and my goal is to realize it as realistic as possible.” Erik has been invited to speak at the TED conference in London on how something can look real but at the same time be impossible.

Nonconsensual sex: How colleges rebranded rape

Around 15 years ago, Brett Sokolow was touring universities and advising them on how to deal with sexual assault on their campuses. On these visits, he noticed something strange. I was a little hesitant to ask at first but with some encouragement from my lovely followers, I’ve made a GoFundMe page to help raise money for all of the medical bills that are piling up while fuzz butt is on her way to recovery. I put the link in my IG bio. Every little bit helps and I’ll keep everyone posted on how her kidney test goes. Thank you 💖 #roadtorecovery

So I don’t normally reblog this stuff but I’ve been following this little cat’s story and it made me both sad and happy. I have been following the owner on Instagram for quite some time now and she recently adopted this sweet beauty in the photo. She has a lot going on health wise and the vet bills aren’t getting any cheaper. Poor baby has red infected skin, infected teeth and ears. She also has a bad heart murmur. If any one can help out at all and give any money they can for her medications and vet bills it will be sincerely appreciated. You can read her full story on the gofund me link above.
